
On 30 June 2020 Food Ladder provided a detailed response and recommendations to the Federal Government Inquiry into food prices and food security in remote Indigenous communities.

By implementing Food Ladder systems in local communities we can transform some of the longest supply chains in the world to the shortest and exponentially:
1) increase the shelf life of perishable food items and nutritional value of produce
2) reduce costs for the local stores
3) create social enterprise with multidisciplinary outcomes (education, employment,
health), and
4) change attitudes towards healthy eating for improved health, long term
